How to Catch a Swarm of Bees

Having our own bees is so convenient. I love not buying honey anymore and enjoying the benefits of homegrown honey. One easy way to add to or even get started with bees is to catch a swarm. It is easier than you think!

EIFS Window Trim for the Finishing Touch

EIFS window trim has certainly added the finishing touch to the exterior of our house! The brown trim accents the windows and I love the look of it with the red roof and yellow sides!

Preparing for Vineyard Expansion

Working on the house is not the only thing happening during the warm weather. We are getting ready to expand the vineyard this spring by adding 5 more acres of grapes!

EIFS Topcoat

It is time to turn our multiple shades of grey house into a beeeeuuuuutiful yellow color – one shade of yellow all over the house! Yep, it’s time to apply the EIFS topcoat and I can’t wait to show you the difference!

Applying EIFS on ICF Blocks

Progress is being made on the house once again! No longer will we live in a multi-colored house. We are one step closer to finishing the outside stucco and having a beeeeuuutiful house!

Making Wine at Home

Making wine at home can be done with very little equipment. We use a crusher/destemmer and a bladder press. Both pieces of equipment were purchased from wineries that buy our grapes.
