Front Porch Concrete

With the footers and support walls finished, it is time to pour the concrete for the front porch. This is truly a family affair with John and the boys working well into the night to finish the concrete. That is what you get for being do-it-yourselfers.

Front Porch is on Its Way!

Harvest is over and we are gearing up for a new year of vineyard work. But before vineyard work starts, we get to make some progress on the house – YAH! The boys have been working hard and I can’t wait to share the progress with you!

ICF Basement Expansion – Finished!

The last hurdle in making our goal of moving into the ICF basement expansion before Christmas was making the windows doors and moving the windows to the new exterior walls. Sound confusing? It really isn’t. We added new walls around the existing structure that are 14 more feet out and these became the new exterior walls!

You might think we have been loafing since grape harvest, but we haven’t! Once vineyard work was over, we started on the house. I can’t wait for you to see the progress! We just might make our goal of moving in by Christmas!
